Charlotte Bettendorf

K-Stables places its trust in Charlotte Bettendorf, an internationally experienced and multi-award-winning show jumper.

As part of the celebrated Bettendorf horse breeding family, she brings not only sporting talent, but also in-depth knowledge of horse breeding and training, along with extensive competition experience.

Charlotte has been active in international show jumping since her early youth. Today, she is one of Luxembourg's most successful riders and regularly ranks among the top 150 in the world. Her calm, precise manner in the saddle and her keen sense for young horses make her the ideal partner to help develop our young talents.

Charlotte's five years spent working with renowned Belgian trainer and former Olympic show jumping champion François Mathy gave her valuable experience and expanded her network in the international show jumping scene. The close collaboration with François Mathy continues to this day and directly influences her work at K-Stables.

Charlotte accompanies selected horses through their sporting careers at our centre, supporting our breeding work with her expertise and her extensive network. She also invites experienced and talented riders from her circle to join our team to ensure that our horses receive the best possible training.

Their presence at international tournaments is a powerful advertisement for K-Stables and underlines our commitment to promoting and presenting horses at the highest sporting level.

Cooperation with the Bettendorf family

K-Stables benefits from a close partnership with the Bettendorf family, who run the famous Haras du Gibet stud farm near Bitburg. Charles Bettendorf has been passionately devoted to breeding show-jumping horses since the 1960s. His children, Charlotte, Victor and Basile, have continued this tradition and are now internationally successful show jumpers.

The collaboration between K-Stables and Haras du Gibet is based on shared values: natural and equine-friendly breeding, the highest standards of training and a clear focus on sporting excellence. We regularly organise joint events to showcase and promote young horses.

This partnership not only strengthens the quality of breeding and training at K-Stables, but is also helping to establish Luxembourg as an important location for international show jumping.
